In the blackened walls of the museum, the artists inhabit in a neo-gothic two room set.
Somewhere on the boundary of absurdist theatre, vaudeville, and performance art, they slip in to a wordless narrative of longing, love, rejection and death. Using their bodies as both object and material, they exchange bodily fragments such as urine, salvia, hair and fingernails, as tokens of affection through a hole in the wall that separates them. Growing increasingly drawn towards him, the woman uses her body to penetrate the wall and enter his private space, only to be met with rejection, and as a result, death. Heavy Hearted, he finds a way to use his physical space to create a sarcophagus for her love. |
